About Us

In 1991 Karin Mesa wandered into La Mancha Glass Gardens. Having done stained glass and designing since 1974, she was thinking of setting up a studio in Florida and was checking out the competition.

Julian Mesa had been a glass carver since 1973 and was just beginning to create an outdoor glass display in his one acre garden.

Karin was amazed by the exquisite detail of Julian's carved glass. Julian was amazed by Karin's drawings. This girl could also handle a wheel barrow!

They became friends

They began to work on glass projects together. They both found that they respected and challenged each other artistically and that they became better individual artists as a result.

They became partners.

Three years later they were married.

Several thousand wheel barrows of dirt later the Garden is still a beautiful work in progress. Julian and Karin Mesa like working together more than ever. They have found that in addition to the constantly improving technical aspects of their art that their most successful action is to listen carefully to what their clients want and always give more than was expected.
